Weston super Mare Radio Society

We have been asked again by the Axe District Scouts if we would put on a special event station for them for Jamboree on the Air ( JOTA) this coming Saturday the 20th October.

This will take place as last year at The Village Hall, Crooks Lane, Kewstoke, Weston super Mare BS22 9XB.

This year with weather permitting, we will be using our Club Caravan as the "shack" unlike last year when the weather was so bad we couldn't take the caravan because of the high winds.

Although the event with the Scouts will probably not be starting until around 4:30pm we are planning to be on site from 2pm onwards to get everything set up.

We will be operating hf/vhf/uhf and putting on a Morse Code exercise for the Scouts and Guilds to try their hand at.

Hf probably mostly on 40 and 80 mtrs SSB. On VHF we will be calling on S20 145.500.

We will be using the special event callsign GB4ADS.
